Show me the way to go home...

...I'm tired and I want to go to bed, having done three weeks consecutively I think I deserve it.

Yet another great program (programme??) under my belt. Everyone got to do something and they all seemed to enjoy it, which was nice!
A slightly smaller group this week, which in itself presents new challenges, but no problems I'm glad to report.

Aye, very good week, very good indeed! Some really talented people showed off their own skills, whether it was in activities, karaoke, in 1 to 1's or simply on the dance floor, it was good to see.
The entertainment hour was simply brimming with acts, performances, jokes and readings.

The weather has been kind although the threat of rain was always looming.

Only one small piece of new material this week - its getting harder to keep producing new stuff for every program, but I still have a few tricks up my sleeve (as all good magicians do).
Well time to move on, like ships passing in the night!

Is there a Doctor in the house?

This week all the Spaniards were Doctors, which I was a little apprehensive about given the profession. As it turned it out it was a great group of people and personalities.

It was good to see the formula working as it should. I have to say I think everyone gave 100% this week which helps enormously. I found myself getting quite tired though too, which is unusual, and on Thursday I had such a bad headache (no, alcohol wasn't the cause)!?

We got up to all sorts of things and the competitive edge came out like a Samurai sword when we played Scattergories, hehe (it didn't help I messed up the scores on the last round, oops) but I did learn that rust is a colour and houses do fly! So it was educational too.

The karaoke went very well and the party I thought may never end, and for some I dont think it did!! Dylan made his debut of the year and everyone seemed to like him which was nice, but then he let himself down by getting drunk at dinner time!

So I guess I'm looking forward to my next Doctors program, they have a lot to live up to!
Keep up the good work guys, its nice to know were in safe hands.

African Dance United Nations, more or less

Again another programme finished, but no time to relax or take a breath, as I have to get ready to start again, but before I do, what happened this week?

We had a great mixture of Anglo's - surprisingly quite a few Americans even with the price of airline tickets just now. Old and young people which made for good conversations for the most part. However I did hear from some, that they were not as satisfied as they ought to be!?

Upon further discussion it appeared that certain expectations were not meet either by us, the hotel or by the Anglos? i.e. Anglo's didn't offer enough to talk about or Anglo's didn't have particular field expertise.
OK they may not work in the same field as you but they still have life experience that you can talk about and normally you can connect on some level :S
Also YOU can instigate a conversation, change topic or request a subject, so do so ;)
I think the objective was lost somewhere along the way, even after being pointed out at the beginning. Hopefully this was a one off situation and wont happen again - but if it does I'm ready with conversation starters to get things underway ;)

There was also several issues with the hotel and food served, which we will look into as service needs to be at a high standard, the hotel is still new for us and working very hard to sort these issues as they arise, so I guess they wont be issues for long!

Sadly, one individual was advised that he wasn't able to continue on the following weeks programme, due to his input on this one. He took this issue as a very personal attack, casting a lot of aspersions on several people's characters and using VERY threatening behavior - this of course cannot be accepted, so he had to leave the programme.

That issue aside the program did what it says on the tin, but with a little extra varnish! Due to your input, the week is intense, but we did have a lot of fun. I'm sure when you reflect back, you will realise the progress you made - the problem as always, is you can never see it yourself, but it IS there.

I do hope you keep up the English practise and if you need any assistance or guidance call, txt or email me ;)

How to lose weight quickly

After looking at the analysis on what some people looked on search engines for most was to loose weight. I am a qualified personal trainer however the advice I'm about to offer bears no relation to this fact, these are personal opinions mixed with facts.

If you want to loose weight quickly there is NO way to do this properly or safely!
However here are some suggestions:

1. Split up with the person you love - almost guaranteed to loose weight!
2. Stop eating junk food - guaranteed to loose weight!
3. Chop off a limb - guaranteed to make you lighter - the bigger the limb the lighter you are ;)
4. Do as Carrie did - pierce your tongue
5. Take Hoodia - a plant (now in tablet form) that suppresses hunger - not recommended!!!

Or try this sensible approach:

1. Go out, do something you don't normally do, like walk/jog in the park, climb a mountain
2. Analyse what, how and why you eat what you do - break the circle.
3. Don't call it a diet - diets don't work (you know this, therefore you will fail)
4. Change your eating habits for the better - (slow release carbs), but allow one day a week to eat anything - trust me you need it, as does your body (especially at the beginning)
5. Throw away your scales - they LIE!!!! Honestly trust yourself - those old jeans you couldn't get into - the fact you need a new hole on your belt or the fact your shirt is no longer tight on you - this is proof of weight lose not scales!
6. Get away - go on holiday, but somewhere nice not Blackpool or Skegness, this will give you motivation to loose weight and the food will be different, so again you will inadvertently loose weight
7. Think about the reason you want to loose weight - imagine yourself lighter, fitter, happier - believe it and you WILL achieve it!

Fact: a lot of weight issue are more about lack of activity than diet - although both play a major part
DO NOT fad diet - trust me they don't work long term!!!

Above all: LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF - this is key to almost everything ;)

Disaster?

I'm sure you have all heard by now about the cyclone that destroyed Myanmar, so far death toll at 22,000!
But I wonder is it a blessing rather than a disaster, hear me out!

Burma has been fighting and killing it own for years - and enslaving its own people, only recently has this really came into light and movements were been made - but as usual politics and red tape stop any real progress.

Now if Mother Nature intervenes; who can stop that!? Obviously no one could. This IS a disaster on a grand scale - but now Burmese people have to take stock and use this as the time to rebuild a better country, out with the tyrants and in with the forward thinking young people, let the world be your oyster - Thailand rebuilt itself from the Tsunami and so can you - but build a better place for yourselves.

Aid: don't just drop and run but stay and help put in place what the country needs to develop and improve its status. This is an opportunity use it!

To all those lost in the disaster my thoughts are with you - and to the many more that were lost in the tyranny of Burma's rule!!!

The 30 Day Challenge: step 1

As many of you know and China especially - I was a professional magician for 4 years in the UK and performed all over the place - since then I have mainly been performing here in Spain at Vaughan Town.

The reason I got into magic was David Blaine - not because I wanted to be him, just because I thought "I can do that", and I could.
The person that REALLY inspire me was Derren Brown. I like his genius and cunning (shout out to Andy Nyman; like he's reading this) - so I pursued this avenue and got into magic properly.
However lets not rule out Blaine - now don't get me wrong I am not an avid fan in fact his "stunts" I really don't like or get to be honest - but the personal challenges I do!

So perhaps with this in the back of my mind -

his latest effort, encouraged me to think about my personal challenges, or maybe it is the fact I am yet another year older and not happy with things as they are, mainly my body - 10 years ago I was a capable martial artist who won a bronze medal in the British Open Martial Arts Tournament and now, well lets just say that was 10 years ago!

I have a thing for balance as you will know if you know me, so everything in life should be balanced, good and bad, sweet and sour.
So this is the challenge --> for 30 days I am going to go without - ALCOHOL (of any description), RED MEAT, COFFEE and SWEETS & TREATS; basically I will ONLY drink WATER and eat a more "healthy" diet for the next 30 days and I'll let you know how I'm doing.

Then for the following 30 days this is my opportunity to do something which is new to me - yet to be decided. On my trip back to Madrid Sandra and I had a lot of laughs thinking of some very unusual and funny things I could do.

If you have any challenges I could try let me know and don't forget the balance - 30 days without or not doing something, then 30 days trying or doing something completely different.

Start thinking could your life benefit from change? I'm sure it could ;)

Happy birthday to me!!!

So yet another year passes - and I still haven't aged (mentally anyway).
So what did I get for my birthday this year, well would it surprise you if I said I now am the owner of the PlayStation3 - yes I couldn't wait for the Metal Gear Solid one that I may or may not be able to get my hands on - for sure I will get the game, so what the hell.

Also you can't have a great machine like that without a TV to match so as I don't own one anymore, I bought a new HD TV and very nice it is too ;)

I'm now in Palencia visiting Sandra's family; may as well get to know them as we are together and now she is expecting our baby on 24th November! Amazing really as you (China) was born on 26th November!? Well I sent you a text, you are the first person I have let know, you are still muy importante (very important) to me!

And I also know that was the last time I get to spend so much on myself :'(

Anyone who knows what I do now as a job - will probably know how well I dance or not hehe - so when I saw this I was very impressed with the concept and dancing!
enjoy - who says Britain doesn't have talent!

On a sad note: My birthday came and went and no txt, email or call from my daughter - hey ho!
