Well the New Year in Spain was quite a quiet affair aside from the fireworks of course.
Me, Sandra and her family played a game similar to charades once the New Year was in and it was a lot of fun, even with the language barrier we had no problems playing together.
It's funny that at this one time of year the world seems to come together if only for a little while; a new year is just that, it's really a chance for us to let go of baggage, to start afresh, I think that's why they are so important to us globally.
This is a time for reflection as well as celebration. As you look back on the past year and all that has taken place in your life, remember each experience for the good that has come of it and for the knowledge you have gained.
Remember the efforts you have made and the goals you have reached.
Remember the love you have shared and the happiness you have brought.
Remember the laughter, the joy, the hard work, and the tears.
And as you reflect on the past year, also be thinking of the new one to come, because most importantly, this is a time of new beginnings and a celebration of life.
Instead of starting the New Year with an impossible dream (New Year's resolution) set yourself a goal, one you can achieve and will personally benefit from then go for it and enjoy the rest of the year ;)
Happy 2009, here's a clip to enjoy just for giggles
